It is advisable to wear old clothing as although Powertex is water soluble in its liquid form, once dry it is there to stay. With this in mind it is advisable to remove jewellery and tie long hair back.

We also offer bespoke workshops so if there is a particular project you are interested in we will be happy to discuss your requirements.

In The Spotlight (May 2026)

Mushroom Workshop - 2.5 Hours £30.00

This project does not require any previous experience and so is suitable for beginners and anyone who has dabbled in the past. It’s a great way to spend some time exploring the creativity that Powertex offers.

We will guide you through using powertex to fabric sculpt the mushroom top. Stoneart clay is used for the stalk. During the drying period we will guide you through colouring the flowers using easy varnish and various pigments. Finally we will be using paper decoration and goblin grass to decorate the base.

After 3 weeks the mushroom can be placed outdoors
